职业发展交流讲座系列第一
---金融及咨询行业机会分析与职业发展规划
近期来到大纽约地区的校友数量激增，一个共同的诉求就是希望了解各行业状况和市场形势，渴望在规划职业发展，培养职场能力，获得理想的工作等方面得到指导和建议。
应广大校友的要求，12所中国高校校友会联合学生组织决定共同举办系列职业发展交流讲座，以促进校友间的职业经验与智慧的分享交流。在帮助年轻校友职业发展的同时，亦加深校友间的紧密联系，增强华人的凝聚力。
金融行业各领域以及管理咨询行业机会很多，竞争亦十分激烈。如何在金融界获得得一席之地，并成功驾驭职业发展，为众多校友们关注和探讨的话题。我们以《金融及咨询行业分析与职业发展规划》为主题举办系列讲座第一期。为此我们邀请到几位金融领域经验丰富的专家校友来与大家分享交流。

特邀嘉宾简介：
Yunsong Du(杜云松) is a Deputy President of Capital Markets, Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corps. He is in charge of NY capital market operation managing Trading, Sales, Research, and other supporting departments. During last 20 years, he has worked mainly as an options trader building a global options trading business for the bank and survived many financial crisis by employing timely tail risk hedges. Prior to his SMBC career, he briefly worked at a Hedge fund, Cooper/Neff Associates, which traded equity options at CBOE.
Dr. Du received his PhD in Physics in 1993 from University of Maryland, College Park, and his BS in Space Physics in 1988 from University of Science and Technology of China.
Rick Li(李可) is a Managing Director at Goldman Sachs. He manages the Global Structured Credit and FICC EM trading strategist teams in the Securities Division, and also the Institutional Lending Group strategist team in GS Bank. Rick serves on the GS Bank Capital Committee and Global Credit Trading Operating Committee.
Rick joined Goldman Sachs in 2005 and was named Managing Director in 2010. Previously he earned his PhD in Physics from Yale University and his BS in Mathematics and Physics from University of Science and Technology of China.
Jing Feng(冯菁) is a Managing Director at Goldman Sachs, she manages the Equity Markets Strats team in the Investment Banking Division. She joined Goldman Sachs in 2006 and was named managing director in 2015.
Prior to joining the firm, Jing worked as a research assistant at Columbia University, focusing on resource allocation and network protocols. Jing earned her BE from Hong Kong University of Science & Technology in 2002 and her PhD in Electrical Engineering from Columbia.
Henry Cao(曹辉宁) is a Professor of Finance, and the Chair of the Finance Department and the Academic Director of the Finance MBA at CKGSB. Before joining CKGSB, he taught at UC Berkeley, UCSD, Ohio State University, Carnegie Mellon and UNC Chapel Hill.
Cao's research has been published in journals including Journal of Finance, Review of Financial Studies, Journal of Financial Economics, Journal of Economic Theory, Journal of Business, Review of Finance and Marketing Science. Cao is the co-editor of International Financial Review and sits on the editorial board of Annals of Economics and Finance and China Financial Review
Henry earned his PhD in Finance in 1995 from UCLA and his PhD in Pathology in 1991 from Yale University.
Sean Xingua Hu(胡兴华) is currently a Senior Vice President and Head of Consulting in the US for pharmaceutical and diagnostics industries at GlobalData PLC, a public company listed on the London Stock Exchange.
Dr. Hu brings more than two decades of broad experience in life science industries and academia. Aside from founding BioStrat Advisory LLC, for years he was a Managing Partner and Head of Bionest USA, both boutique life science strategy consultancies. His earlier career included IMS Consulting, SDG Life Sciences, AT Kearney, and hands-on industry experience at BMS, Illumina and CuraGen.
Dr. Hu currently serves on the Editorial Board of the peer-reviewed journal Personalized Medicine, in addition to several PM related industry consortia/committees. Also, Dr. Hu is a founding Board Member of BioKatalyst, a non-profit organization in the US for biopharmaceutical industry business leaders of Chinese heritage.
Dr. Hu obtained his PhD in Genomics from NYU, MBA from Wharton double majored in Strategic and Entrepreneurial Management, and his BS in Organic Chemistry from Peking University.
Francis Yuanming Suo(索源明) is an Associate at McKinsey’s New York office. He is also the co-founder of Ningbo Medlinx, Inc..
Francis graduated from Zhongshan University with a BS in Electrical and Computer Engineering. He obtained his PhD in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Johns Hopkins University with research focus on applications of machine learning in biomedical signal processing.
